Facebook tends to polarize people, either you love it or hate it. Unfortunately much of the world is dialed into Facebook and therefore it can be a great source of information (and disinformation for that matter). Although Facebook tries to monitor everything you do on the web, if you use a separate browser for Facebook (yes there is Google Chrome AND FireFox AND Microsoft Edge), it will limit the information they get from you. You can view limited information from a Facebook group without registering with Facebook (Facebook will try the utmost to get you to sign up if you are not a member).
